Meet The Doctor
Dr. Leon first obtained his bachelor degree in Human Biology to later achieve his Doctorate in chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College where he graduated as a honor student in 2005. He worked as an intern at Moody Health Center under Dr. Benavidez at the chiropractic department and then under Dr. Lee at the internal medicine department. Later on he had the opportunity to be at the Veterans Hospital under the known and respected Dr. Linsky at the rheumatology department. He has had his private practice for 10 years with continuous advancement of his knowledge for the benefit of his patients
Postgraduate or post doctorate studies he has done include:
- Clinical Nutrition Diplomate (2 years)
- Chiropractic Internal Medicine Diplomate (3 years)
- Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner Diplomate (1 year)
Besides his education Dr. Leon has greatly research and incorporated in his practice, for more than 10 years, the use of spinal axial decompression and flexion distraction (Cox Technic). He has mastered the use of these technics in conjunction with his knowledge in extremities and its importance in back related problems to successfully treat patients with herniated disc and facet joint problems.
Dr. Leon uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness includes looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (disease) followed by making the necessary interventions and/or lifestyle adjustments (treatment) that would optimize the conditions for normal function (health). Using this unique approach, Dr. Leon is able to help you accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
